October 27, 2017 (Xuzhou, China). Dr. Walter Ramirez participated at the 2017 Xuzhou International Bio Materials Innovation Summit. The event was sponsored by Xuzhou Union of Industry and Commerce and  Xuzhou Association of Technology and Science, hosted by Yongjia Investment and Holding Group Co. The event was organized specifically to showcase top European technologies. Dr. Walter Ramirez was in charge of presenting Tecnalia, Biokemik and Innventik presentations.

October 26, 2017 (Nanjing, China). Dr. Walter Ramirez presented the Conference “High Value Added Chemicals from Renewable Resources”, representing Biokemik, at the 6^th Global Nanjing R&D Summit. The  summit is aimed to create a better environment for open innovation, widely utilize innovation resources across the world, deepen long-term partnerships with innovative organizations, establish a platform for Nanjing-based enterprises to exchange technologies with overseas counterparts and experts and provide strong support to Nanjing’s efforts to be “strong, rich, beautiful and more civilized”. The event was sponsored and organized by Nanjing’s municipal people’s Government, Jiangsu Provincial Department of Science and Technology and Management  Committee of Jiangbei New Era. Total participants were 400, including Chinese investors and authorities, new ventures from USA, Russia, Europe

October 20, 2017 (Dresden, Germany).  Dr. Walter Ramirez was in charge of the launch of Tecnalia & Kereon Partners’ new venture “Biokemik”, a biochemical company that develops and industrializes green chemicals  (1,3-Butadiene, 2,3-Butanediol, Acetoin, Methyl Ethyl Ketone), at HighTech Venture Days in Dresden, Germany (Octuber 18-19, 2017).  Biokemik was selected as one of the top pitches and was included at the 3^rd Edition of HighTech Ventures’ “Activating Venture Capital for European Innovation”. Dr. Walter Ramirez is supporting Biokemik in Global Business Development.

October 29, 2017 (Beijing, China).  Innventik participated in European Science to Industry Roadshow in China from October 23 to 28. The roadshow included the participation on R&D Summits, International Innovation Conferences, meeting with top Chinese investors and visits to companies. In the roadshow participated Lucideon, University of Cambridge, Brighton University, Turin Politecnico, University of Westminster, Tecnalia and Biokemik. The event was organized by Prof.& Dr. Xiang Zhang, Lucideon Principal Consultant and Royal Society Industry Fellow at University of Cambridge.

2016 will keep a privileged space in my memory.
